ERANET Environment and Health (ERA-ENVHEALTH)

The Project ERA-ENVHEALTH "Coordination of national environment and health research Programmes - Environment and Health ERA-NET", was born in September 2008, as a four-year initiative co-funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

The project has developed a consortium of representatives of institutions responsible for the planning and funding of research projects related to the environment and health area.

The Consortium, were joined  19 partners - including Ispra - of 10 European countries. Some countries in the ERA-ENVHEALTH Consortium have funded three research projects.
The aims and objectives of the project were presented in the Fifth Ministerial Conference held in Parma in 2010 on Environment and Health, organized by the WHO European Region (Poster ERA ENVHEALTH)

The final conference of the project took place in Paris on 13 and 14 June 2012.

The project was completed at the end of 2012, but the network of institutions and researchers ERA-ENVHEALTH continues to work, exchanging  information, communication and follow-up of joint activities developed during the project. Information to join the Network is available to "JOIN ERA-ENVHEALTH"

In 2013, the Rome headquarters of the National Research Council hosted the annual meeting of the Network ERA-ENVHEALTH, followed by an open conference which was attended by several stakeholders. In 2014, the meeting was hendl in Stockholm at the meeting of the project ACCEPTED, while in 2015, the conference will be held in Brussels in conjunction with the final meeting of this project.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT AND ISPRA ACTIVITIES:

Between the Partners of the Project there are leaders of specific activities, ISPRA holds the leadership of two strategic tasks:(Task 3.2 - Coordination and implementation of coordinated activities Task 5.2 - Extending the network of partners of the Consortium). Ispra has also carried out some Final Reports such as :

• Report on the process of building joint activities in ERAENVHEALTH
• Survey on indoor air quality research and policy , a brief overview of the policies on air quality in indoor environments in Europe and analysis of the critical issues encountered in the development of the activity. The survey conducted by ISPRA has been one of the main activities shared between the partners
• "Extending the network : Report on potential new partners" April 2010 e "Report on the mechanisms and actions undertaken for the involvement of new partners in joint activities and enrolment in the consortium" July 2012.
