Monitoring of urgent interventions funded in accordance with Law no180 98
ISPRA carries out activities for the technical monitoring and
implementation of urgent intervention programmes aimed at reducing
the hydrogeological risk in accordance with Law no. 180/98 and its
subsequent amendments and integrations.
Monitoring activities are carried out on behalf of the Ministry of
Environment, Land and Sea Protection and currently involve more
than
4,700 interventions throughout the whole country for a total of
over 4,5 billion euro.
The number of monitored interventions and the same monitoring
modalities (contacts with bodies involved, site inspections and
relations) distinguish ISPRA’s activities as being one of the
few examples in Italy of methodical control on interventions funded
by the State. They are able to provide a constant availability of
updated information on the progress, technical features and
conformity of works with respect to the objectives of the funded
intervention.
The data and information collected during monitoring activities was
used to start and develop the ReNDiS project (National List of Land
Defence Interventions). This project will soon enable users to
access and consult the web site in order to obtain details and
progess of single interventions.
