The Industrial Cycle of Electric Furnace Iron in Italy

With the aim of preparing a series of targeted environmental studies, APAT has prepared a volume on “electric” iron, that is iron obtained from fusion furnaces supplied with electric energy. The study of its production cycle is a primary instrument in the prevention of industrial pollution since it allows for the identification and quantification of the primary pressure factors introduced into the environment, as well as favouring strategies interventions for improvement, including inspection an control programmes.
