Next 20 march at the Europe Space of European Commission in Rome, there will be the official launch of the LIFE Project LIFE16 "By bike through the Natura 2000 network-Sic2Sic". The project, lead by ISPRA, with also the participation of different partners like Ares 2.0, Fiab, Enne3, aim to make aware citizens, schools, businesses and institutions of the significance and importance of the Natura 2000 network.
The project includes bicycle routes that, in the space of two years, will connect 170 Italian sites of the Natura 2000 network for a total of 6,000 km, distributed in 20 weekly journeys across 7 regions (Lazio, Umbria, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Piemonte, Puglia, Sicilia and Sardegna) representative of the different natural habitats of the country.
