Observe and report the flora and fauna around you even on holiday!

let's participate in the "Biodiversity in pose" initiative of the ISPRA National Biodiversity Network dedicated to the collection and sharing of observations on fauna, flora and the natural environment made by citizens

“Biodiversity in pose” offers the possibility, thanks to the connection with the iNaturalist APP, to anyone interested and at any time, to share reports with the Network through images of nature created at both a professional and amateur level, thus constituting a channel of input for the data.

The data collected complements the Network's database and each observation will contribute to helping scientists collect data on the health of biodiversity.

The images shared by the participants may be published in NNB communication activities quoting the author.

How to participate
It is necessary to download the iNaturalist application and register via smartphone or via the website www.iNaturalist.org.
Once in the app - or on the site - simply search in the Projects section for "Biodiversity in pose". From that moment it will be possible to take action, photographing the biodiversity that you come into contact with every time you go out into the open air and come into contact with nature, for example at the seaside or in the mountains.

iNaturalist
It recognizes terrestrial and marine plants and animals through images, short videos and sounds: this is the objective of iNaturalist, an application that could also be defined as the main social network for nature observation, a meeting point between naturalists, scientists, citizens and biologists participating together in mapping and sharing biodiversity observations around the world. To take part in this community, simply register and upload the images or sounds you come across during your outdoor activities, entering the exact geolocation of the place you were in at the time of the shot. Once the observation is validated by an expert it will be made available to scientists interested in the species photographed or in the biodiversity of the area from which it comes.
