Environmental risks associated with the use of biomass for direct production of energy. Technical and economic

The increased value of the biomass of plants is a consequence of the high cost of fossil fuels, which also raise concern about their environmental impact. Biomass can be obtained from agro-industrial scraps and plants of rapid growth. This paper evaluates the best technology acceptable from and environmental and economic step of view and examines the anaerobic treatment, incineration and gasification.
