Carta Geologica del Parco del Cilento Vallo di Diano e degli Alburni

The Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park Authority, which has obtained the recognition of "Geopark" and has been included in the European and Global Geopark Network under the aegis of UNESCO, has proposed to the Geological Survey of Italy - ISPRA a collaboration for the drafting of a geological map of the Park on a scale suitable for an overview of the geology of the Park; the Geological Service welcomed the initiative, taking the opportunity to show one of the possible uses of CARG Cartography.

RETRACE-3D

RETRACE-3D (centRal italy EarThquakes integRAted Crustal modEl) is aimed at the three-dimensional geological and seismotectonic characterization of the volume of the earth's crust which, starting from 24 August 2016, was affected by the earthquakes of Amatrice, Visso and Norcia, and by the related seismic sequence.

Sic2Sic - In bici attraverso la Rete Natura 2000

The project intends to develop a dynamic and innovative communication method to promote the active and conscious participation of citizens in safeguarding biodiversity, through the involvement of schools, local institutions, site managers, tourism operators, businesses and citizens. A group of experts (environmental researchers, territorial development economists, communicators and cycling tour guides) will connect over 170 sites of the Network in two years.

SMURBS - Smart Urban Solutions for air quality disaster and city growth

ISPRA-SNPA and 19 European partners promote "smart" tools and technologies for cities based on Earth Observation with the SMURBS project. SMURBS aspires to make cities sustainable with respect to environmental challenges such as air quality and health, natural and anthropogenic disasters, urban expansion and migration. ISPRA-SNPA, and in particular the department for the Geological Service, GEO-DES area together with the ARPAs of the regions of Puglia, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, will develop indicators for land consumption and methodologies for monitoring the urban expansion using satellite data from the Copernicus program
