With 50,000 hectares, and thanks to its beauty, which has made it world-famous, the Lagoon of Venice is the largest and most important in Italy. There are many factors that have intervened in the evolutionary dynamics of the lagoon: it must be guaranteed continuous monitoring. APAT’s Service for the Lagoon, based in the Palazzo “X Savi” in Venice, carries out systematic checks on the phenomena of the site, validating and analysing data gathered, to maintain the equilibrium of the system and to safeguard the entire zone.
