Serious intimidation at the ringing station on Lampedusa ISPRA: "Moral support at the ornithologists"
April 22 Migratory birds are a heritage from the international community and ISPRA shares its concern about the threatening episode that saw the destruction of nets for scientific ringing of birds which routes are studied routes and migration strategies of the species within the nature reserve island of Lampedusa. The Institute offers the full moral support to the voluntary ornithologists in Lampedusa cthat ontribute to monitoring the migration of large numbers of migratory birds coming from Africa, using the natural bridge represented by Italy and its islands to overcome the Mediterranean Sea, directed towards the breeding areas in Europe
