The issue of methane emissions from the natural gas supply chain has definitively emerged with the EU Methane Strategy envisaged by the European Green Deal, the launch of the OGMP 2.0 initiative under the aegis of UNEP and the recent announcement of the commitments of the Methane Pledge agreed between the EU and the US in view of COP 26.
