The event, organized by the LIFE STOPVESPA project and Velutina Task Force in the context of COLOSS will be held in Turin from 21 to 23 March 2019. The occasion will allow to analyze the situation regarding the control activities of the Asian hornet Vespa velutina, invasive alien species in Europe and dangerous predator of bees. The actions of STOPVESPA allow to collect and process information on presence and impacts of the Yellow-legged hornet, to define guidelines for the neutralization of colonial nests, to develop new monitoring techniques, to neutralize the nests, to evaluate pathways and drivers of introduction, to develop an early warning and rapid response system, to produce educational material.
At the International Conference will partecipate an Ispra expert during the session of 22 march.
