EU Ecolabel indoor cleaning services in Italy: analysis, strong points and synergies with minimum environmental criteria (CAM)
On 2 May 2018 the Commission Decision 2018/680/EU establishing the criteria for awarding the EU Ecolabel to indoor cleaning services entered into force. Since then, 175 companies in this sector have been certified in Italy, accounting for 85% of all cleaning service licences issued in the EU. Behind this success is also the CAM issued in January 2021.
This report summarises the EU Ecolabel criteria for awarding the EU Ecolabel for cleaning services, presents statistics on the certification in Italy, the EU and on the application of the optional criteria and introduce the synergies between the EU Ecolabel and CAM requirements.
