The final meeting of the Operative Program Italy-Malta 2007-2013 “BioDiValue. The economic value of biodiversity and ecosystems” will be held next 23 April.
The project aims to prevent risks related to the coastal areas and seas and see in with an important role of University of Catania, with the Department of Industrial Engineering, which is developing a "towfish" underwater towed vehicle containing all the necessary sensors to analyze seawater of Channel between Malta and Sicily and in above all in the areas of marine protected Plemmirio of Syracuse, Pelagie Islands and Malta.
