Specification about ISPRA's assessment of the environmental damage caused by the sinking of Costa ConcordiaWith reference to some articles published today, it should be noted that ISPRA has carried out the assessment of environmental damage in March 2013, based on a few certain data available so far. Meanwhile, the Institute is collecting all the data deriving from the monitoring activity carried out continuously over the area. Now that the wreck was placed on axis, in the coming months it will be possible to access to the seabed and collect additional qualitative and quantitative data that will allow to update the evaluation report addressing the environmental damage. The final evaluation will in any case be performed only when the wreck of the Costa Concordia will be definitively removed from the waters of the island of Giglio, together with all the relative infrastructures.https://www.isprambiente.gov.it/en/archive/news-and-other-events/ispra-news/2013/09/concordia-mission-accomplished-all-necessary-precautions-have-been-takenhttps://www.isprambiente.gov.it/en/archive/news-and-other-events/ispra-news/2013/09/concordia-mission-accomplished-all-necessary-precautions-have-been-taken/@@download/image/leadImage_mini1.jpg
