Urban Waste Water: still a few days left to answer to EC public consultation
The public consultation launched by EC on the Waste Water Treatment Directive (Council Directive 91/271/EEC) is available online until 19 October. The consultation has a double objective, on the one hand to gather general views from the public on their understanding and relation with waste water, and on the other hand to gather more detailed information and opinions from experts and public and private entities in charge of implementation on the specificities of the directive. The overall objective of the consultation is to collect views on how the EU rules on waste water treatment have affected urban waste water collection and treatment across the EU and thereby improved the state of our water bodies and the environment in general.
