Studying climate change and sustainability, biodiversity, environmental fate and sustainable nutrition, biomedical engineering, information technology and robotics for the development of research, innovation and training activities in the field of relations between the environment and health following a One Health approach by attracting young talents through collaboration in teaching activities, the development of advanced training courses and support for doctoral scholarships: these are the objectives of the memorandum of understanding stipulated between ISPRA and the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome (UCBM), lasting 3 years .

The conference "Pesticides: reducing the use of synthetic chemicals in agriculture by 2030, how and why" will be held on 12 October in Rome. Two ISPRA researchers will participate in the meeting with interventions on the impact of pesticides on species and habitats and pesticides in surface and groundwater.
On 28 September ISPRA is presenting the methodological document "Indicators, index and scenarios for the analysis of the main environmental trends". The publication analyzes the main emerging environmental issues (natural capital, climate change, circular economy and environment and health) through three different approaches whose common thread is the use of the indicators present in the Environmental indicators database . The focus of the congress activities that will open with the 5th MedPalynoS and will continue with the 16th AIA (Italian Society of Aerobiology, Environment and Medicine) Congress, is to recognize that the human health is linked to plants, animals and environment health. The meetings planned as part of the co-creation program of the project WHOW (Water Health Open knoWledge) aimed at creating a European infrastructure on environmental data and health impact continue. The meeting includes a speech dedicated to regulatory and technical developments at national level in the water sector and parallel sessions on the following topics: human exposure to chemical and biological pollutants in marine waters, water intended for human consumption; and extreme events. On the occasion of World Environment Day, ISPRA and the Interuniversity Center for the Environment (CIPLA) will present the seminar One Health: environment, health and society (protection of the atmosphere and protection of life). The day, organized in collaboration with the University of Perugia, the University of Urbino, Carlo Bo, and the Free International University of Social Studies Guido Carli, LUISS, aims to raise public awareness on the issues of air quality and health protection through the integration of different disciplines according to the One Health approach.
On 13 April it will be presented the book "Environment and health in the contaminated sites" which include the results of a multidisciplinary research dedicated to the effects on the ecosystem and population of the phenomena of environmental degradation produced by human activities.

The National Order of Biologists is organizing a theoretical-practical course entitled: "Pesticides and health: from the environment to the food chain, risks and prevention strategies". The European Environment Agency with the support of EPA (Irish environmental agency) and ISPRA have organized on 16 March a Facebook live to talk about the CleanAir@School project. In Italy the citizen science and environmental education project on the air quality is coordinated by ISPRA, which also includes the participation of fifteen regional environmental agencies. In Europe 8 Countries and more than 100 schools have joined the project (In Italy 69 schools and 30 Municipalities).
