The digital document management system of the Bank of Italy has
introduced a deep restructuring of work processes, now fully based
on the use of digital documents instead of paper ones, both
domestically and in the relations with foreigners countries.
The creation of a digitized document system, for its complexity and
pervasiveness, represents an innovative challenge.
