Monitoring methodologies applyed to cetaceans, 21-22 aprile 2008

The workshop aimed to focus on standardization of the data
collecting methodologies applyed to cetaceans, as a first step to
build up a national monitoring system for cetaceans. At the
conclusion of the two days, 47 representatives of the 33 public and
private organizations engaged in further researches on cetaceans in
the Italian waters, signed a statement of intent, taking the
commitment of working together to give an important contribution to
the knowledge referred to cetaceans, which is the only valid basis
for their conservation.
