EMAS and ECOLABEL as tools of the circular economy
ISPRA provides technical support to the Ecolabel and Ecoaudit committee for the issue of EMAS registration and EU Ecolabel certification. In this way ISPRA contributes to the dissemination of circular economy tools.
EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) registration is a tool available to those companies, public bodies or individual sites that want to evaluate and improve their environmental performance.
EMAS registration implies both compliance with the legal limits and the continuous improvement of environmental performance, as well as the active participation of employees in the life of the organization and transparency towards the institutions and interested parties.
The EU Ecolabel is the European Union's ecological quality label that helps consumers recognize products or services that have a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle for the same performance.
