Agriculture: national air emissions from 1990 to 2009
In this publication, data from the national inventory for greenhouse gas emissions and major transboundary long-range pollutants from the agriculture sector is provided. Data is annually communicated to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Protocol Kyoto and the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (UNECE/CLRTAP). This document provides information on the statistics used, the methods applied, and presents an analysis of the time series from 1990 to 2009. In addition, the document is a working tool for all those involved in the preparation of an emission inventory for the agriculture sector or wants to update and/or improve estimates. Through this publication it is expected to support the competent authorities and operators from the sector, in planning and implementing environmental policies, and for the integrating environmental issues in agricultural policy and rural development.
