Quaterly bulletin on research funding in the field of water protection

A recent report of European Science Foundation and European Ocean Energy Association says that sea could be the future energy resource.
Europe, along with 89.000 km coasts, could satisfy by 2050 half of the energy needs by exploiting open sea eolyc energy, waves, oceanic currents, salinity, temperature, algae producing biofuel. All these renewable marine resources could therefore reduce greenhouse emission.
The report outlines the strategy that Europe will adopt to obtain this goals: specific funds under the VIII Framework programme, future combined research programme among research, industries and universities, evaluate all the renewable energy resources, create a task force aiming to focus on an emerging sector.
