International day of forests
The International Forestry Day is celebrated every year on 21 march, established by the United Nations in 2012 to raise awareness of the importance of all the trees that make up the green lung of the planet Earth. This year, International Forestry Day promotes education to learn how to care forests and the importance of education at all levels to achieve sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation. Healthy forests mean healthy and resilient communities and prosperous economies.
