The meeting is focussed on the topics developed in the Report “Maritime transport and environmental management in Italian ports” published by the sector Progetti Aree Portuali of ISPRA. In particular, latest information about the reform of Italian port sector will be presented, together with other issues as the sustainable development promoted by ESPO (European Sea ports Organization), the funding for the intermodal transport, the advantages on the reduction of pollutant emissions by using alternative marine fuels as gas and shore side electrical power, and the port development planning.
At the same time, the Report will be available on line also showing more data about traffic (from 2005 to 2014), good practices and environmental performances of Italian ports.
