The J.W. Goethe's "Journey to Italy" and the geological landscape
The book will be presented Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 5.30 pm at the Goethe House, Via del Corso 18 in Rome. Speakers for ISPRA: Fabrizio Galluzzo and Francesca Romana Lugeri. ISPRA's President Bernardo de Bernardinis and ISPRA's Director-General Stefano Laporta are also invited.
The project was realized within the International Year of Planet Earth, by the Italian Association "Geology and Tourism" and subsequently published by ISPRA - Geological Survey of Italy. The volume retraces the journey that Goethe made in Italy about two hundred and twenty years ago, comparing its geological observations with the current knowledge, to promote a wider dissemination of Earth Sciences.
