FIT4REUSE

FIT4REUSE will provide safe, locally sustainable and accepted ways of water supply for the Mediterranean agricultural sector by exploiting non conventional water resources, namely wast water treatment and desalted water. In particular, FIT4REUSE will focus on innovative treatment technologies and on the use of non conventional water resources in agriculture and for aquifer recharge. Inclusion of partners from different areas ofthe Mediterranean region (9 partners from 7 countries) will enable FIT4REUSE to conduct high quality collaborative research and to produce of substantial results on a regional scale that fit local scenarios, and to start long lasting collaboration between participating institutions.

FIT4REUSE has received financial support within the first call of PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area) on "water management", section 1. The project is coordinated by Italy with the Università di Bologna and can count on the participation of the following partners: ISPRA (Italy), Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy), Ecofilae (France); Bioazul SL (Spain); University of Tunis El Manar, Higher Institute for Applied Biological Sciences of Tunis (Tunisia); National Technical University of Athens (Greece); Istanbul Technical University (Turkey); Mekorot (Israel).
