Urban Waste Report edition 2019
Today ISPRA illustrates at the Italian Deputy Chamber the Municipal Waste Report 2019. The Ispra Report collects information on the national, regional and provincial level related to production, management, separate waste collection, costs of urban hygiene services and treatment plants. Updated to 2018, Ispra data on municipal waste show a national picture of the approximately 8.000 Italian municipalities. From the data, emerges that there are more and more urban waste to be managed: half a tonne a piece in 2018. New growth trend with GDP, that means urgent prevention policies. Seven regions out of twenty achieve the 65% of recycled wasteaccording to the normative. Exports of 500,000 tons of waste abroad.
