National Forum of Italian Geoparks. Rome, 21 February
Several crucial issues are addressed in the agenda of the annual meeting of the National Forum of Italian Geoparks, aimed at the development of the network of Geoparks. The increasingly close relations with UNESCO and other national and international organizations, the new applications submitted by the Italian territories in 2012 and the ones in preparation for the 2013-2014, participation in international conferences on the protection and enhancement of the geological heritage, the strategies for collaboration with other stakeholders, as well as the implementation of a web platform dedicated to the Italian Geoparks.
