Clean up the world

"Clean Up the World" is a global campaign that encourages local people to clean up, restore and preserve the environment. In association with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the campaign, whose theme this year is "clean up our environment", mobilizes approximately 35 million people from 120 countries. Climate change is certainly a complex problem, but there are a number of very simple steps that every person and every community can take to contribute to our planet protection. Saving water and energy, environmental awareness programs, planting trees, walking to work and waste reduction projects are only some of the possible choices.
This year the on-line mapping function, realized in partnership with Google, will offer groups of participants the opportunity to describe and share their environmental activities with the world community.
