Oceanography handbook and guidelines for the data validation process
Measuring tide heights implies a two-fold series of complementary activities: the former consists in a measuring campaign of data collection on site, the latter lies in a systematic sorting, organizing, archiving and reviewing of the collected measurements in order to spread and to disseminate reliable and good quality of data. The aim of this manual is to thoroughly illustrate the adopted procedures within I.S.P.R.A. and to explain how to validate tide levels data, applying the Institutional European and International protocols, as well as the historical experience in tide gauge measuring.
