Geodoc project

In December 1991, thanks to an agreement between the Geological Survey, the Geodoc Consortium (made up of the following companies: ITALSIEL, SIDAC and TELESPAZIO) and the Ministry of Labour, the Geodoc project was born, financed with funds from the Law 160/88 (Fund for the unemployment).

The aim was to create a geological documentation center of the national territory as a reference tool for the actors operating in the field,  in order to contribute to the improvement of the  environmental protection through the organization and dissemination of information.
