Thist

The Library offers to the the scientific community the Thist (Thesaurus Italian Earth Science), a tool for indexing biblio-chartographic material (monographs, journal articles, maps) owned by the library.This publication is the result of the integration of the terminology database of the Library of the Geological Survey of Italy (now ISPRA Library) and thesaurus published by the National Research Council in 1997. The project is closely connected to the Multilingual Thesaurus of Geosciences (MTG), edited by the international group MTG, in which Italy is represented by ISPRA (former APAT).

The Thist is available in two languages, Italian and English
