In the Ichtyolithic limestones there are over 20 species of lagoon, sweet water, brackish water and open sea fish  belonging to superorders of the Selachians, Holosteans or Teleosteans. Among the reptiles there are two specimens of crocodile and the famous dinosaur cub, commonly known as "Ciro", dated 113 million years.

Ichtyolithic limestones which compose the upper layer of the Pietraroia sequence that characterizes the “Civita” were formed in an environment of calm waters during the Cretaceous period. The structure is formed of a monocline sloping down eastwards and defined by faults.

Constraints: a Park will be created.

Point of interest: finding of a dinosaur cub, various species of well-preserved fish in situ.
