Land consumption, territorial dynamics and ecosystem services

Today Ispra has presented the new data on the land consumption in Italy edition 2020 of the Report of the National System of Environmental Protection. The publication and the updating of the map and data-base will be spread in order to provide a frame of the process transformation of the land consumption and their impacts on the landscape. The contribution of the research, in addition to monitoring the trend of the phenomenon and the related environmental damage, is fundamental for indicating new territorial planning perspectives and for providing useful tools and criteria for the regeneration of the territory and for a sustainable planning of the urban areas.
