The CARG Project, which provides for the construction of 636 geological and geothematic sheets at a scale of 1: 50,000, was funded with some regularity until 1999. Then, after about 20 years of lack of funding, it resumed its activity thanks to resources made available by the three latest Budget Laws.
These resources made it possible to resume the project, even if not sufficient to guarantee coverage of the entire national territory. This is an objective that can only be pursued through the establishment of a new entry chapter in the State Budget.
