The 2nd Annual Meeting of the European Project “ACQUATRACE - the development of tools for tracing and evaluating the genetic impact of fish from aquaculture” https://aquatrace.eu/ will take place from 2 to 6 March in Rome.
The meeting is organized by ISPRA and includes several meetings between the 22 scientific partners (about 40 researchers from all over Europe), plus a series of events and initiatives to promote the objectives and results of research and actively involve Italian stakeholders.
From the scientific point of view, ì the project aims is to develop and validate molecular markers to identify the fish from aquaculture and to understand the geographical traceability of natural populations, in order to provide farmers and institutions new control tools and effective environmental indicators to evaluate the genetic impact on wild populations.
At the end of the meeting there will be a round table about “Advanced molecular tools for tracing cultured fish: AquaTrace outputs for industry development and environmental monitoring”
