Prevent disruption through planning, a day of awareness promoted by INU - ISPRA

The attention to the problems arising from geological risk, or more generally by the lack of a good governance of the territory, is a key element for sharing ideas about community life. A day of study and dissemination on issues related to geological risk prevention through territory planning is organized byISPRA and the National Institute of Urban Planning, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Protection and some Roman educational institutions, to be held on May 15, 2015 in Rome, at the high school "Via Silvestri 301".

The day, targeted primarily at high school students, will be the conclusion of the first phase of an awareness campaign about the hydrogeological risk, known as GeoRis, through the active involvement of young people as they will be the future professionals and citizens. They will present a work to demonstrate theirawareness of these issues.

The meeting aims at stimulating a proper governance of the territory in young people through joint action between technical experts and government leaders to address the issues of risk prevention and risk reduction, using the tools the urband and territory planning.
