Press conference about monitoring and sightings of the Mediterranean monk seal
The next 16 May at the press room of the Ministry of the Environment at the presence of the Minister Mr.Andrea Orlando will be presented the activities developed by ISPRA in collaboration with the Protected Marine Area of the Egadi Island regarding the monitoring and sightings of Mediterranean monk seal.
The monk seal is among the most endangered species in the Mediterranean and the study carried out by ISPRA in collaboration with the Management of the Protected Marine Area has confirmed the attendance and the permanence in the area of several specimens, a presence attributed to the attitude of tolerance of local communities to the specimens
