COP-11 of UNCCD

From 6 to 27 September 2013 will be held in Windhoek, Namibia's capital, the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the Parties - (COP-11) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.

Will be held also the Eleventh Session of the Commission for Science and Technology - (CST-11) and the Twelfth Session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention - (CRIC-12.

It is part of the Italian delegation dr. Anna Luise, ISPRA, Technical and Scientific Correspondent of the UNCCD for Italy, which has also been invited to be one of the panelist's Film Festival "Deserts and desertification" for the movie "The Man Who Stopped The Desert" (2008), Tuesday, 24 September at 19.00.

In addition, Ispra cooperates with the Ministry of Environment in the preparation and implementation of a side event entitled "Pilot projects in the countries most affected by drought and desertification in Africa and the role of Traditional Knowledge in Combating desertification and poverty" that takes place on Friday 27 September
