The hydraulics, branch of science and engineering that studies and implements systems for the control of water making possible the consumption and utilization, has always been one of the indicators of the stage of civilization reached by the people. Using examples and reconstructions of the techniques through which the hydraulic itself has evolved over the centuries, the Italian Society of Environmental Geology invites to study and reflect on what the past can teach about the evolution of the present and future technology.
