Since 2013 the Agriculture Metropolis conference aims to build a debate on the issue of land control, landscape redevelopment, sustainability of production processes, crop health, fairness of transactions, reduction of waste.
For the 2019 edition, the main is the Sustainable Development Goals (or SDGs) that the United Nations set for 2030. Agriculture is one of the key factors to achieve these goals both from a social and in relation to the challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss.
To meet the commitments of the Agenda 2030 a change in large-scale agricultural policies and a local application of the new models proposed by agroecology to design sustainable agro-food systems are needed.
At the meeting will partecipate an Ispra expert.
