Protected Areas Management Plans, Ecosystem Services and Community Regulation 1221/2009 EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) are very effective tools for defining and implementing strategies for nature conservation and sustainable development. The Mont Avic Natural Park organizes a day of study to highlight the possible synergies and opportunities for a protected area. On this occasion the Mont Avic Natural Park presents the new Territorial Management Plan, approved in 2018 by the Autonomous Region Council Valle d'Aosta, which incorporates within it the operating strategies defined in its Environmental Management System. This approach represents the first case at national level of the real integration between the institutional planning tool of a protected area and the European voluntary scheme for excellence of environmental management of a public or private organization (EMAS Regulation).
