In the frame of the initiative "AsVis Live: three steps toward the Sustainable Festival 2020", that will be held from 22 September to 8 October, also other preparatory events are organized and in streaming live, next 28 May and 4 June.The event of June focus on: "Environment, health and sustainable societies: discovering the connections", also at the light of epidemic experience. Invited to give their contributions also Institutions and delegates of the business world that will compare themselves to overcome the current crisis taking into account environmental criteria. The Ispra President Stefano Laporta will join the meeting.

International day for Biological Diversity

The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. This year the day is dedicated to the topic "Our solutions are inside the nature". In occasion of the IDB, the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea will organize the conference " Evaluate, conserve and enrich the Natural Capital in Italy " which an Ispra expert is participating. In addition, the Institute publishes today the comics Discovering Posidonia oceanica seagrass meadows and the video to celebrate the biodiversity day.
