Bathing 2021 in Italy
From April to September, the 8,300 km of Italian coasts are sampled over 32,000 times. And in most cases these are operators of the regional environmental protection agencies, the public bodies which, together with ISPRA, composed the National environmental protection System.
The control and monitoring activities carried out by the National System for the protection of the environment on the data of the four-year period 2017-2020 stems from the Community Directive 2006/7 / EC, which establishes the rules for the classification throughout the European Community of bathing water in the four quality classes (excellent, good, sufficient and poor)
