New Information System on the quality of the urban environment
A first version of the new Information System of the quality of the urban environment developed by ISPRA is online. If we consider that over 55% of the world's population lives in urban areas, and it is estimated that this percentage could reach 70% by 2050, we understand how cities are also the engine of change towards more sustainable and the environment in which to increase resilience to the climate changes underway.
The new information system therefore intends to constitute a useful training and information tool on the subject of the quality of environments in Italian cities, collecting data and knowledge that ISPRA has accumulated in this sector since 2004 and projecting itself towards the future ecological transition.
