Starting from 10.00, ISPRA researchers will be at the Parco dei Caduti di San Lorenzo to participate in a dissemination event that will be held in the first urban microforest of Rome, the prototype of a larger project sponsored by the Municipality of Rome, where the Sapienza University is acting as the leader, to bring 15 urban microforests to the 15 municipalities of Rome.
In particular, colleagues from the ISPRA laboratories will show around a hundred middle and elementary school children how micro-systems can help to change life and its quality in an urban environment. In detail, with the help of a digital microscope, they will show the children what lives in the soil. For the occasion, the "Let's circulate" campaign will be presented and educational kits will be distributed which, in a concise and creative way, explain to children how a new economic model of which trees, with their "functioning", are increasingly important, they are a natural symbol par excellence.
