According to the results of a study carried out by ISPRA and the Environment Regional Agencies, Torre S. Agostino and Torre Valdoga in Civitavecchia, Torre Flavia between Cerveteri and Ladispoli and Castello S. Gallo in Nettuno, but also Punta Rossa in Circeo and Porto Romano in the town of Formia, are the areas where the blooms of the toxic algae Ostreopsis Ovata were found last summer. The phenomenon has been subject of monitoring, since it caused no little concern.
