National Prize for the Environment "Gianfranco Merli"

Rome, December 11 The 2009 edition of the National Prize for the Environment "Gianfranco Merli" was held in Rome.  The prize has been established by the Movimento Azzurro, the environmental organization, based in the Capital, that has been rewarding for 10 years personalities of the academic and institutional world who have distinguished themselves in the environment field worldwide. The ISPRA Sub Commissioner, Emilio Santoro, has been awarded for its commitment in collaborative projects for the protection of the Mediterranean Sea.
