March, 8 On 26 February the European Commission published the fifth LIFE+ Call for Proposal, the invitation to submit proposals for the selection procedure of LIFE+2011 projects . The LIFE+ programme comprises three components: nature and biodiversity, environment policy and governance and information and communication. The total budget available for the co-financing of projects is 267 431 506 million euros and the scheduled budget for Italy is 23.509,232 million euros for 2011. Proposals must be sent on CD-ROM or DVD and drawn up on special forms .The deadline for the submission of proposals to national authorities is 18/07/2011 and submission deadline of proposals from national authorities to the Commission is 09/09/2011. The European Commission has scheduled Information Sessions on February, March and April in each EU member state for potential LIFE+ applicants in order to provide valuable advice and guidance on what national authorities and the Commission expect from project proposals.
