Present and future role of forest resources in the social economic development of rural areas

During the International Year of the forest, the National Rural Network, in collaboration with the European Network for Rural Development, is organizing a two-day event dedicated to the role of forestry in rural development. Four major issues will be faced, such as the conservation of forest biodiversity and their potential contribution to the production of renewable energy, from their study as a possible resource to mitigate the effects of climate change and to implement the European economy in productive sectors linked.
