Note on a national radioactive waste storage

On January 2 ISPRA received from SO.G.I.N. S.p.A. the proposal of the National Charter of Potentially Suitable Areas (CNAPI) suitable for a National Radioactive Waste Deposit. In the 60 days provided for by the law, the Institute will carry out a consistency check with the criteria of the Technical Guide no. 29 "Criteria for the location of a surface disposal plant  radioactive waste at low and medium activity", issued in June 2014 and with the criteria of the International Agency for Atomic Energy (IAEA), together with a validation of cartographic results.
